You may have heard that schools are greatly in need of substitute teachers this year, and it is true!  Substitute teachers register with the Credentials Analyst at the Marin County Office of Education, and then subsequently register with the school districts they are interested in working with.

We have a variety of substitute teaching opportunities available, from day to day work to longer term assignments of up to a semester or more. In San Rafael City Schools, substitutes are paid a daily rate of $230, with a premium rate of $280 for Mondays, Fridays, and specific high need days. View the rate calendar* here!
