Dear SRCS High School Students,
San Rafael City Schools is committed to maintaining a secure online environment. As the new school year begins, the SRCS IT Department wants to share a few tips and reminders to help you protect your account, your information and our District’s online environment.
Stop, Pause and Think
Before clicking a link, opening an attachment or responding to an email, ask yourself:
- Why am I receiving this email?
- Was I expecting it?
- Does the message make sense?
- Do I recognize the sender?
- Is the message asking me to click a link, provide personal information or take an unusual action?
Report Suspicious Emails
If an email looks suspicious, don't click on links or attachments and don't respond. Use the email’s “Report Spam” feature or delete the message. Reporting suspicious messages helps protect you and others in our school community.
Keep Your Student Account For School Use
Your SRCS student account is provided for educational purposes. Use a personal email account for personal activities such as applying for jobs, signing up for services, or managing personal accounts.
If You Make A Mistake, Speak Up
If you clicked a suspicious link or interacted with a phishing email, don't panic and don't ignore it. Tell a teacher, staff member or parent/guardian as soon as possible so our IT team can help protect your account.

Sincerely,
